2 Day Expo Tournament

Official rules:

 Decisions of the tournament director are final and are not subject to appeal.   Each competitor agrees to report any rule violation to the tournament director immediately upon discovery of the violation.  

 Each contestant that voluntarily participates in any NOEoutdoors event voluntarily agrees to submit and subject himself/herself to a polygraph exam. 

 

Tournament is February 17th and 18th. 49 boats will fish the 17th and the top 20 will move on to Sunday the 18th to fish for the money. The winners will be based on a total combined weight of both days. This is a 5 fish tournament. No dead fish allowed. Safelight to 2 pm. You MUST be back in the No Wake Zone at 2 pm. 

Online Registration and Payments:

  All teams must register and pay online. Each team is $150 plus a $7 processing fee. This processing fee does not go to NOEoutdoors in any kind of way.  Absolutely no refunds of any kind. There are only 49 spots available for registration. Up to 49 boats can sign up but the remaining spots are reserved for NOEoutdoors sponsors and special guest. The Online registration form will be taken down once the 49 spots have been filled. In the off chance that an extra boat is signed up you will be contacted by NOEoutdoors. 

Tournament Check In/ Weigh in:

 Tournament Check In will be the morning of the tournament at 6am at Gatewood Boat Ramp. Each team member must check-in, in person and launch from Gatewood. Each angler MUST have a valid fishing license in the state of Georgia. Blast off will be a total of 5 flights of 10 based on boat number. The boat number will depend on the order the team registered. These boat numbers will be posted in advance on Facebook as well. 

1st flight: Boat #1- Boat #10

2nd flight: Boat #11- Boat #20

3rd flight: Boat #21- Boat #30

4th flight: Boat #31- Boat #40

5th flight: Boat #41- Boat #49

If you do not feel comfortable with blasting off according to boat number- feel free to stay back in the No Wake Zone until after all boats have gone and you are comfortable. 

REMINDER: If you plan on going left- line up on the left side.  If you plan on going right- line up on the right side.

 

The weigh in Saturday will be held at Gatewood boat ramp and will be live on Facebook. WEIGH IN WILL BE HELD AT THE CLARENCE BROWN CONFERENCE CENTER ONLY ON SUNDAY FOR THE TOP 20! The time of the tournament is safelight to 2pm. You must be in the No Wake Zone at 2pm. After the tournament is over- all trucks and boats weighing in will get in a line and follow the lead truck back to the NOEoutdoors Fishing Expo. All live wells will be checked before leaving the ramp to ensure there are no dead fish. IF YOU GET OUT OF THE LINE FOR ANY REASON IT IS AN AUTOMATIC DISQUALIFICATION. The weigh will be live. The fish will be held in a tank and will be returned to the lake by NOEoutdoors staff and the Dugout Bait & Tackle after the weigh in. 

NOEoutdoors Expo Tournament is a Team Tournament:

 All NOEoudoors events are team events, although a contestant may fish alone as a single person team. There are no Alternate partners. You MUST fish with the same partner both days.  If you or your partner are not able to fish you are not allowed to give away your spot to anyone not registered. There is a wait list in place for those who wish to be in the tournament in the event of someone dropping out. IDs will be checked the morning of the tournament for both days to ensure that the registered anglers are the ones fishing. 

Sportsmanship and Conduct:

All contestants are required to follow a high standard of sportsmanship, courtesy, safety, and conservation. All contestants must comply with all applicable state and federal laws, and any contestant’s failure to comply with all applicable state and federal laws are subject to disqualification and/or other disciplinary action that is at the sole and absolute discretion of the tournament director. Examples of conduct not complying with those standards include, but are not limited to, the following:

  a. Consumption and/or possession of alcoholic beverages or illegal substances during tournament hours extending through the weigh-in.

  b. Cheating of any kind. 

 ANY DOCUMENTED VIOLATION OF THE SPORTSMANSHIP RULE WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION OF ALL NOEoutdoors EVENTS. 

Any unsportsmanlike conduct will result in Team disqualification! 

 Anglers shall, at all times, conduct themselves in a professional manner that demonstrates integrity, honor, and respect towards fellow competitors, tournament staff, and general public, and does not reflect unfavorably on NOEoutdoors, it's members, staff, tournaments, or sponsors. 

Live Fish:

NO DEAD FISH. This is a 5 fish tournament. 

Ties:

In the event of a tie, the weight of the Team's  Big Fish will determine the winner. It is the Team's responsibility to insure their Big Fish is weighed in. 

In the event of a Big Fish tie, the pot will be split.  

Late Penalty:

 Contestants who are not at the official check-in point at the appointed time will be assessed a one-pound-per-minute penalty from their total weight, including any weight to be counted toward a Big Fish award. Any contestant more than 5 minutes late will forfeit that day’s catch. In the event of a mechanical breakdown, a contestant may return to check-in location with their catch by receiving a ride from another registered contestant or tournament official only by the designated time. 

Safety:

 Safe boating must be observed at all times. Each contestant is required to wear a fastened (fully zipped and/or all clips fastened), U.S. Coast Guard approved personal flotation device anytime the combustion engine is in operation from boat check to weigh in.

All boats must be equipped with an emergency ignition shut-off device, which must be securely attached to the driver’s body any time the combustion engine is in operation. The driver must be seated in the driver’s seat anytime the combustion engine is engaged in gear. 

In the event of severe or inclement weather, the Tournament Director holds the right to reschedule the tournament or announce alternate takeoff instructions. Information will be given at the registration site at the sole and absolute discretion of the tournament director. 

  In the event of an emergency situation, competitors should first dial 911 and then notify Tournament Director.
Fish and launch your boat at your own risk. NOEoutdoors is not responsible for any damages to property or bodily harm.

Boat and Horsepower Regulation:

  Each boat must have all the required U. S. Coast Guard safety equipment. Boats must contain properly aerated live well space to maintain alive the limit of catch of bass. Maximum horsepower for all outboards used in tournament competition may not exceed the horsepower limitation set by the U. S. Coast Guard in such vessel. Falsifying information on entry forms, or altering the horsepower numbers on the motor, or rating the plate to conceal such limitations will be cause for disqualification from the tournament. No contestant may have a platform, raised deck, or ladder that is higher than the gunnel of the boat. Standing on the fishing seats or outboard motor will not be allowed in NOEoutdoors events.

Permitted Fishing Methods:

 Only artificial lures may be used. NO LIVE BAIT . Only one fishing rod per angler may be used at any one time. Additional rods may be in the boat and ready for use; however, each cast and retrieve must be completed before another cast is attempted or rod is used. Trolling of any kind as a method of fishing is prohibited.   Switching or sharing fish with other teams or individuals is a violation of these rules and will result in immediate disqualification. All bass must be caught alive, in a conventional, sporting manner. When sight fishing for bass, all fish must be hooked inside the mouth to be counted as a legal fish. All angling must be conducted from the boat. At no time may a contestant leave the boat to land a fish, or to make the boat more accessible to fishing waters. 

Permitted Fishing Locations:

 Contestants may fish anywhere on tournament waters accessible by boat, except areas designated as “off-limits” or “no fishing” by state or federal officials, or within 100 yards of a competitor’s boat which was first anchored (an anchored boat is a boat held in a stable position by a line attached to a weight with the trolling motor in the up position), or within 100 yards of a non-anchored competitor’s boat unless otherwise agreed upon by the other tournament angler. Contestants’ boats must remain in the tournament waters during the event.

1ST PLACE: $3000        

2ND PLACE: $1500       

3RD PLACE $1000                            

4TH PLACE: $500                

5TH PLACE: $300                  

   BIG FISH:  $450

 All photos and/or video taken at a NOEoutdoors event are the property of the NOEoutdoors Tournaments and may be used for promotional purposes. If any form of the media approaches, you are expected to present yourself in a professional manner and to accommodate them within reason. During weigh-in you are expected to present yourself in a professional manner and answer the questions to the best of your ability.
