New Lake Seed Black Croppie r Record

𝙙 𝙎𝙡𝙖𝙗 𝙍𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙧𝙙 𝙂𝙚𝙤𝙧𝙜𝙞𝙖

Jeff Smith out of Cleveland, Georgia put a true freak of a black crappie in the boat on Lake Seed, and this one turned heads.

He was working a deep flooded treetop that’s known to hold fish from time to time. This round, the big ones were staged up right. A small 1/16 jig tipped with a live minnow was all it took. He stayed on them and stacked up nine heavy crappie.

One slab stood out. Jeff carried it to the Lake Burton Hatchery to get it certified. The fish weighed 2 pounds 2 ounces, measured 16.6 inches, and is now the official Lake Seed record black crappie.

Jeff already has a history of landing record panfish around northeast Georgia, and it sounds like he’s not done chasing big ones anytime soon.
